Skype

Now, skype is fun. It brings the best stalker/voyeur out in me. I set it up
at school yesterday as I don't have the equipment necessary at home (I get
the leftover computer stuff.) I was able to watch a math lesson in a first grade
classroom. The possibilities for classroom use are endless. In fact, I'm going to
take a fourth grade group on a virtual fieldtrip to visit the creative department
at Campbell Ewald to watch a "professional writer" work on an ad piece.
It's good to have a writer in the family. I can check on my puppy at daycare
on skype also...but that's another story!

Google Docs--very interesting. My husband is a writer for Campbell Ewald (advertising firm) and has talked about some sophisticated ways they share/collaborate some of their work. I think this is an application that will be beneficial in many aspects of teaching--and one that I could navigate through without the help of any family members. Yee-ha!

I've set up a Twitter Account, also named Groggy Bloggy. The less I have to remember, the better. I did it while helping my son factor trinomials--I'm much better at the algebra!!!
